U2 on Letterman, Night 2

It's no secret, especially to U2 die-hards, that U2 songs are kind of alive in that they evolve over time. Sunday Bloody Sunday is not the same as it was when it was born on War. As U2 evolves, so does the music that they bring with them from the past. A U2 album is nothing more than one moment captured in time, a representation of the birth of new music that will lay the groundwork for the live show.

It seems that NLOTH is already evolving. The songs are in infancy, but have already started to find their voice. Monday night's "Breathe" on Letterman was just a little bit changed already, and last night's rocking performance of Magnificent was the next step for that song.

Here's a youtube video from the boys on Letterman last night, performing, in my opinion, one of the best songs on the new album, Magnificent: (special thanks to the original poster, who also loaded night one onto youtube!)

This performance was full of energy...I can see this being the opening song on the live show....just full of energy. "I can feel that right in my chest", Letterman told Adam after the performance.....
