HAS U2 frontman Bono sneaked into Australia without anyone noticing? Again?

Word circulated yesterday that the star rocker arrived Down Under recently for an unknown birthday party, but neither he nor his trademark sunglasses have been seen out and about.

But it would not be the first time the U2 singer has popped unnoticed into Australia for a private visit.

In early 2006, the Irish singer, his wife Ali Hewson and their four children managed to fly under the radar for more than two weeks while staying at an exclusive house at Bunyan Beach in Sydney's north.

Hewson's brother-in-law lives in Sydney, as well as his nephew Ross Stewart, who is a budding model.

Bono has some free time on his hands at the moment, with U2's 360 world tour not kicking off until June 30. The band's stunning new album, No Line on the Horizon, was released last month.
