Millers concerned by U2 concert
League Two outfit Rotherham are hopeful they will not be forced to move their second home game of the new season from August 22.
The Millers are due to play Rochdale at the Don Valley Stadium on that date, but the Sheffield venue is staging a sell-out U2 concert two days earlier.
"Obviously there is concern that there might be some damage to the pitch with concert goers using it, although it would be well protected," Millers chief operating Officer Paul Douglas told the Sheffield Star.
"But we have been given assurances that the pitch will be ready and OK for us on the Saturday. Hopefully that will be the case.
"We will continue to monitor matters and liaise with the stadium authorities. We don't want to have to move it."
