Blame U2 for the scheduling snafu
Blame the interleague schedule on U2
Scheduling the games for interleague play is a nightmare, especially since a lot of teams don't really have a natural interleague rival.And, as MLB vice president Katy Feeney recently told ESPN's Jayson Stark, baseball's "national TV partners" have a few requests for matchups they'd like to see.
But the biggest headache this season was - are you ready for this? - a since-canceled U2 tour that made 10 stadiums unavailable on critical dates.
"So Bono added a little 'Vertigo' to this schedule in more ways than one," Stark commented.
